Located on Guardia Hill, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of San Luca is one of the most iconic symbols of Bologna. The basilica is connected to the city through the Portico di San Luca, a covered walkway approximately 3.8 kilometers long and composed of 666 arches, considered the longest portico in the world. This path, built between 1674 and 1793, offers a pleasant scenic walk that leads directly to the sanctuary.
